The western end of former railyards area includes an allocation for residential development. This location offers excellent potential in an established popular neighbourhood with easy access to the University of Dundee, the District 10 development area and the City Centre. It is expected that the site will achieve in the region of 110 homes.
Significant works have already been undertaken to prepare the site for development. The potential for contamination as a result of previous railway related activities has been investigated and remediation action taken. A new pedestrian/cycleway has been constructed which exists along the southern boundary of the site connecting directly to the City Centre.
